A good way to use handdrawn visualizations in @prezi (via @jayzon277)
A handdrawn visual, uploaded as a jpg to Prezi and then used as a template for the path. I was really annoyed with Prezi so far because the interface is too slow for my taste and the drawing options online are limited. This looks like a good solution to me though. Thanks Markus for the link.
I played around with the possibilities of mixing online/offline drawings and pictures yesterday after work. I should give Prezi another go, something might come out of this.

All my favourite tools in one vid: markers, paint, thread and tape
I have feeds in my RSS reader which I cannot even remember when or why I subscribed to. But then a video like this by the creative consortio ROJO® pops up which makes me glad that I haven’t deleted the feed yet (I’m one of those people whose feed reader says +1000 most of the time…)
ROJO® is based in Barcelona, Sao Paolo and Milan and is “dedicated exclusively to the promotion and support of the contemporary arts.”
There’s also a spin-off called ROJO®NOVA, which describes itself as “7 weeks of art, installations, live audiovisuals, sound art, workshops, live music and more!” The video is part of what’s happening in Sao Paolo these days, and there’s loads of documentation of the project on their websites.
I especially adore this video below cause first of all it has all my favourite creativity tools in it: markers, paint, thread and tape. And - a woman! Street and urban art is facing the same dilemma as the tech and (well, you name it) most other industries - it’s mostly run by guys. So for a change it’s nice to see women do some of that stuff, too.
Go get inspired :)

This is really great work by @ninmah: a video about visual recording on the iPad
In the past I’ve tried hard not to buy an iPad for graphic recording and have come up with various excuses not to go ishopping.
Then along comes this video - and I was pleasantly suprised to see me proven wrong. The apps introduced (Brushes, AirSketch, Sketchbook Pro, Ideas) and the stylus work so well for graphic recording, now there are less and less reasons not to buy an ipad.
Thanks Rachel for taking the time to make this excellent visual overview and sharing it.
A brief overview of how to use the iPad for visual recording/notetaking. Includes things to consider when doing this; how this is different from traditional (paper-based) visual recording; and comparisons of four tools (Ideas, AirSketch, Brushes, and SketchbookPro).
